Dr. Randy Garrett

Dr. Randy Garrett is the Senior Vice President of Technology where he leads the development of new analytics. He recruited a team of data scientists and software developers to create a suite of large scale analytics to identify cybersecurity threats. His team innovates, develops and customizes the new analytics that drive IronDefense.

Dr. Garrett brings an extensive amount of cybersecurity experience from the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. As a Program Manager at DARPA (Defense Advanced Projects Agency), Dr. Garrett developed and lead multiple programs in big data analytics for cybersecurity. He was named Program Manager of the Year and awarded an Outstanding Civilian Service Medal from the Secretary of Defense. His program contributed to a Joint Meritorious Unit Award for DARPA. Prior to DARPA, Dr. Garrett helped pioneer initial cloud deployments to the Army, Navy, and Air Force. In other government service, Dr. Garrett worked at the National Security Agency and as the Senior Science Advisor to the Army Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence and for the Commanding General, U.S. Army INSCOM. He was presented an Outstanding Civilian Service Medal from the Army and was a Federal 100 award winner.

Dr. Garrett has held multiple corporate senior management positions to include Director of Science and Technology at General Dynamics and Senior Director of Information Systems at Rockwell. He has taught graduate computer science classes at George Washington University and The American University. He has a PhD and an MS in Computer Engineering from Florida Atlantic University and undergraduate degrees in Physics and Mathematics from MIT.
